About
Ritesh Narula completed his primary medical education and postgraduate training in Ophthalmology from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi, followed by a Vitreoretinal Fellowship from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. Subsequently, he did an ICO Fellowship in Surgical Retina at Jules Gonin Eye Hospital, Lausanne, Switzerland. Before joining L V Prasad Eye Institute, Dr Narula worked as a consultant at Dr Shroff Charity Eye Hospital and Centre for Sight Eye Hospital, both in New Delhi, for a duration of two years and 12 years, respectively.
He is a keen researcher and has multiple publications to his credit in peer-reviewed journals. His published work has been awarded the IJO Gold award and IJO Certificate of Merit for the most cited articles of the year. Currently, he is an assistant editor with the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology.
Dr Ritesh Narula is an expert in managing Complex Vitreoretinal Diseases especially Diabetic Eye Surgeries and Macular Disorders. Apart from surgical work, his main focus is in the advancing field of Retinal Imaging. From time to time, he has been invited to national, international conferences to present his work on Retinal Imaging. When he is not at work, he loves spending time with his family and to read books on varied topics.
