About
I am a dedicated cancer research scientist currently in my fifth year of postdoctoral training, specializing in pediatric neuro-oncology and molecular biology. My research is centered on understanding the complex signaling pathways in Sonic Hedgehog (SHH) medulloblastoma and the functional role of deubiquitinating enzymes like USP37. I am honored to have been awarded a prestigious American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellowship, which currently supports my research investigating the VHL tumor suppressor in medulloblastoma, as well as evaluating different promising combinatorial therapies in vivo using intracranial orthotopic medulloblastoma models.
I earned my Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, where my research was dedicated to the discovery of novel inhibitor molecules targeting c-Myc, a protein widely considered "undruggable" in cancer therapy. I am currently conducting my postdoctoral research at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, where I integrate advanced in vivo models with comprehensive computational and molecular techniques. My methodology spans diverse disciplines, including bulk RNA sequencing, single-cell transcriptomics, spatial transcriptomics using the 10x Genomics Visium HD platform, and detailed histological analysis. My laboratory expertise also encompasses cellular bioenergetic analysis using Seahorse XF assays, alongside molecular techniques such as ChIP-qPCR, Western blotting, and immunocytochemistry.
Beyond my experimental work, I am deeply committed to advancing the field as a peer reviewer for multiple scientific journals and as a Guest Editor. As I advance in my career, I am now applying for tenure-track Assistant Professor positions to continue investigating the molecular drivers of pediatric brain tumors and to lead my own independent research program.
