Professor Ida Tiwari is a distinguished member of the esteemed institution, Banaras Hindu University and a luminary in the field of Analytical Chemistry. Professor Tiwari also serves as the Coordinator of the Centre of Forensic Science, Banaras Hindu University. She spearheads advanced research in sensor fabrication for various useful applications. Throughout her illustrious career spanning over 20 years as a teacher and 23 years as a researcher she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation in sensor technology. Her exceptional contributions have been reflected in numerous peer-reviewed papers, impactful communications, and prestigious projects like “New Developments in Screen printed Sensors: From laboratory to the field” under UGC-UKIERI scheme (UK-INDIA Education and Research Initiative), “Designing of integrated sensor arrays for multi-analyte detection for higher quality of life OR for better human health monitoring” under the Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC), MHRD. Under her guidance, a dedicated team of PhD students and a Post Doc Fellow diligently work in the realm of sensor development, with a keen focus on addressing critical issues spanning environmental concerns, toxicological hazards, biological challenges, and forensic investigations. Professor Tiwari’s leadership has not only nurtured an atmosphere of academic excellence but has also fostered a spirit of social responsibility. It is under her guidance and mentorship that her team endeavour to harness the power of research for the betterment of society, aiming at creating lasting change on a global scale.
