About
Dr. Zhang Zhaoyu received his bachelor's and master's degrees in applied mechanics from Chinese University of Science and Technology in 1998 and 2001 respectively. In 2007, he received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from California Institute of Technology. From 2008 to 2011, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Chemistry at University of California, Berkeley and was employed by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. From 2011 to 2015, he was employed as an associate professor at Peking University to establish the Nano OptoElectronics Lab (NOEL). In 2015, he joined the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen). Dr. Zhang's research interests are primarily in the design, manufacture, and inspection of optical and optoelectronic devices and systems and their applications focus on display, optical communications and energy harvesting. He has published more than 20 articles in international journals, such as Nano Letters, Applied Physics Letters, Physical Review Letters, etc.
张昭宇博士分别于1998和2001年在中国科学技术大学获应用力学专业的学士和硕士学位;2007年获加州理工学院电子工程博士学位。2008至2011年,他在加州大学伯克利分校化学系从事博士后研究,同时受聘于劳伦斯伯克利国家实验室。2011至2015年,他受聘北京大学副教授,成立纳米光电子实验室“Nano OptoElectronics Lab (NOEL)”。 2015年,他入职香港中文大学(深圳)。张博士的科研兴趣主要为设计,制造,检测光学及光电子器件或系统;他们的应用集中在显示,光通讯和能源采集。他在重要学术刊物上已发表20余篇文章,如Nano Letters, Applied Physics Letters, Physical Review Letters等。
