About
Dr. Neelam Tandon is a Professor of Economics and Finance at Jagannath International Management School, New Delhi and Head of the department of Post Graduate Management Programme . She erstwhile worked as an Economist and a Joint Secretary at PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and looked after Industry Affairs and Foreign trade Committee, engaging in policy advocacy, as well as economic and business research related to Industry Issues, Health, Education, Poverty and Financial Inclusion. She is Ph.D., MPhil and MA in Economics and an MBA and holds a level 5 certification from Chartered Management Institute London in Leadership and Management. She has also been a visiting faculty at ICAI, IIFT Delhi and IMT Ghaziabad. She is an approved Ph.D. supervisor at Jagannath University Jaipur, AIMA New Delhi and specializes in the area of Banking, Economics and management. She is a Ph.D. examiner at Faculty of Management Studies, Women Institute for Studies in Development Oriented Management Banasthali Vidyapith, Jaipur. She has authored well over 30 research papers duly published in leading International & National Finance Journals/ Periodicals with high impact factor. She has also authored 5 books in areas of Banking, Statistics, and Economics. Her books titled ‘Risk Management in Indian Banks in BASEL” and “Management of Banks: Text and Cases” has been acclaimed by Bankers, Researchers, and professionals. She has been instrumental in conducting National seminars and International conferences in the areas of Finance // Risk Management // International Business: She has been instrumental key resource personnel for sessions conducted by PHD Chamber of Commerce New Delhi and National Institute of Banking Studies and Corporate Management (NIBSCOM) on “Foreign Exchange Exposure and Risk Mitigation challenges” for SMEs in India and “Foreign Exchange Business: Profitability & Growth Potential” of Banking Industry in India. She is one of the 100 shortlisted candidates selected by All India Council of Technical Education and United Kingdom India Education and Research initiative for the leadership programme from all over the India. Her area of interest is behavioural economics and promoting application based learning and research.
