About
Monika has been working as a research scholar at the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), New Delhi. She completed her Bachler degree B. Tech in chemical engineering from Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, DCRUST, Murthal in 2016. She secured her M. Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from DCRUST, Murthal in 2018, with the first position. She is currently working as a Prime-Minister Fellow under her Ph.D. research work in collaboration with the industry Potence Control Private, Mumbai Maharashtra with a focus on developing an in-situ multi-analyte heavy metal sensing scheme in water using electrochemical techniques. Her major research interest includes electrochemistry, sensors, and fabrication of sensing devices designed for heavy metal sensors. She has worked on the removal of heavy metal ions using the adsorption technique by using the waste rice husk as an adsorption material. She has published her M. Tech work under the high-impact journal Environmental Science and Pollution Research, she published one research paper under Springer Singapore Proceedings in Materials Recent Trends in Electrochemical Science and Technology, she reviewed 18 research papers as a reviewer under the Journal of Hazardous Materials Letters, she published 2 book chapters. She has received the IIChE (NRC) Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2015-16, IIChE (NRC) Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2016-17, and IIChE (NRC) Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2017-18. She has received the Prime Minister prestigious award, VICAL Best Paper Presentation Award, and Late Lakshmi Nandakumar Award. She has attended 9 national and international conferences and presented her research work. She attended 13 workshops/seminars/FTP programs. She has participated as a member in Demonstrate electrochemical sensors for heavy metal ions using cyclic voltammetry and anodic stripping voltammetry under the workshop Electrochemical Techniques for Energy, Sensors, and Corrosion Application (WET-2019), at CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh. She is a life member of the CATALYSIS SOCIETY OF INDIA and the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers IICHE, Kolkata.
