About
Over thirteen years and five months of experience in teaching (B.Pharm., M.Pharm. and Ph.D) and in academic research projects, I have gained significant expertise in academics as well as leading, mentoring, and monitoring research projects in various novel ophthalmic drug delivery systems, surface science field and nanotechnology. I have strong educational back ground with graduation in pharmacy & post graduate in pharmaceutics (GATE - 98.59 percentile).
I have completed my PhD in Pharmaceutics, under the guidance of Dr. Dinesh O. Shah (Scientist, University of Florida and Founding Director, Shah-Schulman Center for Surface Science & Nanotechnology, D.D. University, Nadiad). I have gained experience in managing several international research projects as principal investigator, granted by MediPrint™ Ophthalmics (California, USA) on Digital inkjet printing technology to deliver ophthalmic drugs through hydrogel contact lenses (Clinical Phase 2A) and not limited to DST-FIST (Fund for Improvement of Science & Technology), GUJCOST (Gujarat Council on Science and Technology), ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research), and RPS-UTU (Research Promotion Scheme-Uka Tarsadia University). The work was recognized by Government of Gujarat [Education Department] and on 2nd Feb 2018 Hon'ble CHIEF MINISTER Shri Vijay Rupani awarded the shield and certificate. Awarded ‘Seal of excellence’ by the Horizon 2020, European Commission (U.K.) in the year 2019 for project proposal 842435, NanoHybrid-Lens (Marie Curie Fellowship) with Dr. Susan Sandeman (University of Brighton, UK). Awarded Mitacs Elevate Fellowship (Application: IT18240, Canada) for Microfluidic platform with Prof. Lyndon Jones (University of Waterloo, Canada).
Recognized as one of the top 100 influential teachers from across the country by AMP (Association of Muslim Professionals), awarded for Excellence in Education 2021 felicitation ceremony. Participated and coordinated various activities & events at college and university. I have won several awards in oral and poster presentation at international and national level workshop.
