I'm a Professor in the Department of Physics , Gauhati University,Guwahati-781014,
Assam, India working for last 17 years in the field of Nuclear Physics (Experimental). I have about 50 publications in international repute with topics with heavy ion induced fusion-fission reactions by stable and unstable nuclei. It includes sub-barrier fusion enhancement due to inelastic excitations, deformation, orientation effects. Multi nucleon transfer reaction studies, Quasi-elastic scattering, Optical model analysis etc. Fission mass distributions, mass gated Neutron multiplicity measurements etc. Till now six projects are completed, one is ongoing. Four research schoolers are awarded Ph.D. and six are working. Im doing some societal work by selecting as general Secretary of Physics Academy of North East (PANE) a prestigious organization.
