About
Currently, Dr. S.A. Martin Britto Dhas has a position at Keimyung University in South Korea as an 'Invited Scientist' in the Mechanical Engineering Department as part of the Brain Pool Program. Additionally associated with the Department of Physics, Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur, Tamilnadu, India. His area of research is crystal growth, impact of shock waves, and spectroscopy. He carried out his postdoctoral research in the Department of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore after earning his Ph.D. in the field of crystal growth from Madurai Kamaraj University. He has been awarded a Centenary Post-Doctoral Fellowship by the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, a University Stipendiary Research Fellowship by MK University, and a Dr. Kothari Post-doctoral Fellowship by DST in New Delhi. In addition to two books, he has 175 research articles published in international journals. He received three research projects, one of which was a major project worth 22 lakhs (as Co-PI) from BRNS, Mumbai. For the development of the bicycle-assisted Reddy Tube, he was awarded the 2016 Best Innovation Award by the Society for Shock Wave Research, India. In addition to having five of his products filed for patents and three published, he was chosen by the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology for the Young Scientist Fellowship program in 2017. Also, he was selected for the Brain Pool Program by the National Research Foundation of South Korea in 2023.
