About
Dr. Gautam Sen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, India. His research expertise spans physical chemistry, surface phenomena, polymer chemistry, and instrumental techniques of chemical analysis, with a strong emphasis on biopolymer-based materials and their applications.
He has successfully supervised and co-supervised eight doctoral candidates to completion. Dr. Sen has authored more than 60 research articles, the majority of which are published in SCI/SCIE-indexed journals, along with around 15 book chapters. His research contributions have resulted in more than 3,700 citations, with a Google Scholar h-index of 34.
In addition to journal publications, Dr. Sen is the author of a patent and a research book published by Elsevier. He actively serves as a peer reviewer for several leading international journals in the fields of polymer science, materials chemistry, and applied chemical sciences. His work continues to focus on the development of sustainable polymeric materials for applications in water treatment, drug delivery, and green adhesive technologies.
