Chandan Kumar

About

Dr Kumar serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Academic Affairs (English Language/Linguistics) at IISER Berhampur. He has served as a foreign language instructor at the School of Literatures, Cultural Studies and Linguistics at the University of Illinois, USA, academic year 2023-24.
Mr Kumar earned his Ph.D. in Linguistics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India, in 2020. His area of interest lies in language, linguistics and cultural studies. Specifically, he works in the domain of structural linguistics, ecolinguistics, Second language learning, and Multilingualism. He has published peer-reviewed articles on related subjects. He teaches courses like Introduction to Linguistics, The Construction of Meaning, Language and Identity, Introduction to Syntax and Semantics, etc.
