About
At the University of Birmingham in Edgbaston, Birmingham, UK, I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences working on a project related to air pollution. I'm hired through the Met Office-funded project Clean Air - Indoor Air Quality Emissions & Modelling System. My duties encompass the operation of a mobile air quality supersite for indoor-outdoor air quality observation, comprehensive measurement of air quality indoors in a variety of settings, and contributing to scientific analyses of data from the observations to better understand the sources and processes of indoor air pollution with the team working on a Clean Air Wave 2 project.
Before this, I was a post-doc researcher at IIT Kanpur, India. I was working on a research project Large-scale Multi-city Dense Urban IoT Real-time Air Quality Monitoring Networks in India. The project aimed at monitoring and improving Air Quality using Low-cost sensor networks in big cities in India. I am fortunate to work with one of the best air quality monitoring and aerosol research groups in India (Prof. S. N. Tripathi's Aerosol Lab, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Kanpur, India).
Earlier, I pursued my Ph. D. in Environmental Sci. & Engineering, IIT (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad, India under the supervision of Dr. Suresh Pandian Elumalai. My Ph. D. thesis is entitled "Study on traffic generated pollutants at traffic calming devices and its management".
