About
Amit Majumdar obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from IIT Kanpur, India, with Prof. S. Sarkar, while working in the area of bis(dithiolene) Mo/W complexes. He worked as a postdoctoral associate with Prof. R. H. Holm (Harvard University) in the area of W-Cu bimetallic systems, iron-sulfur clusters and heterometal-iron-sulfur clusters, and with Prof. S. J. Lippard (MIT) in the area of nonheme diiron complexes. He is currently an Assistant Professor at IACS, Kolkata, India. His current research is focused on heterometallic clusters for small molecule activation and multi-electron redox chemistry, and nitric oxide reactivity with thiols in the presence of transition metal complexes.
