About
M. S. Mani Rajan received his B.Sc (Physics) from Vivekananda College, Madurai and M.Sc degree from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamilnadu, India. He received M.Phil from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, India. He received Ph.D in the field of “Optical soliton based fiber optic communication” from College of Engineering Guindy (CEG), Anna University, Chennai. He published over 75 papers in the field of soliton based optical fiber communication systems and Photonic crystal fiber based optical sensors in highly reputed international journals and he published around 25 papers in various international conferences. He is a Life member of Indian Physics Association (IPA), Life member in Indian Laser Association (ILA), Life member in Optical society of India (OSI), Life member in Materials research society of India (MRSI) and Life member in Photonics society of India (PSI). He is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Anna University, University College of Engineering Ramanathapuram, Tamilnadu, India. His area of research is soliton propagation in various nonlinear waveguides, photonic crystal fiber for various sensing applications and erbium doped fiber amplifiers. He also served as a reviewer of several reputed journals like IEEE Photonics, Journal of Modern Optics (Taylor & Francis), Nonlinear Dynamics (Springer), Optics Communications (Elsevier), Journal of Modern Physics Letters B (World Scientific), Optik (Elsevier), Communications in Theoretical Physics (IOP). He received funded project for international research collaboration from SERB, Department of science and Technology (DST). He visited many countries for research collaborations like, Malaysia, UAE, Singapore and South Africa. He is selected among world's top 2% scientists by Stanford University.
