Seasoned academician, researcher and academic leader having Ph.D. in Botany (Microbiology) with 50 years of National & International experience in Academics as well as Academic Administration, career spanning from Research Scholar (1975) to Vice Chancellor (2023) and presently: Director Research, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut-250005, India and Hon Professor of Eminence, Former Vice Chancellor & Dean (R & D), SIET. Former Sectional President, Environmental Sciences (2020-23) for 108th Indian Science Congress. Shobhit Institute of Engineering & Technology, Deemed to-be-University, Meerut has been assessed and accredited by NAAC with grade “A” on 20-12-2022 for five years based on my leadership as Vice Chancellor during 2018-2023 with full executive and administrative role including the outcome based course curricula designing under NEP-2020, faculty development programs, motivation of faculties for research and patents, research projects, grants and consultancy, training for NAAC and other accreditation, organization of national and international conferences in India and abroad, branding of the University social, electronic and print media, well versed with rules, regulations of statutory bodies like UGC, AICTE, BCI, NCTE etc., for establishment of new Universities, inspections and approvals / assessment / accreditation etc.

Outstanding contributions to research, having published 180+ research papers in national and international research journals of repute, including Scientific Reports (Nature), supervised 50 Ph.D.s, 75 M.Phil.s, and more than 100 research projects of PG students. Participated in over 25 international conferences abroad and 200+ national conferences where he presented his research contributions and chaired various sessions. Recipient of Young Scientist Gold Medal of Indian Botanical Society, 1993 and Professor Hiralal Chakravarty Award, 1994, of Indian Science Congress for outstanding contribution to research and development; More than a dozen awards for distinctive contributions in Education, Research, Academic Leadership and Educational Administration;

Successfully established credentials in institutional building while getting a distinct opportunity to be the founder head of microbiology at CCS University, Meerut, in 1998. Having an experience of development of the university as Vice Chancellor for more than 5 years, I achieved a distinction to secure 100% placement for students, with 45+ students getting overseas opportunities for completion of PG projects and further studies. Experienced in developing various PG, UG, and doctoral courses, including the framing of research policy for the university.

Having experience in research/academic upliftment across disciplines and institutional building to make an institution stand next to the ladder.
