About
I hold a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Public Health from M.S. Ramaiah University, India, with a specialization in the development and validation of cognitive screening tools for the early detection of dementia in primary health care settings. My interdisciplinary work bridges neuroscience, public health, and community care, with a focus on strengthening mental health and cognitive services—particularly for aging populations in India.
My research centers on early identification of dementia and cognitive decline, exploring the impact of lifestyle and preventive interventions on brain health. I am passionate about designing and implementing culturally relevant, accessible, and feasible cognitive assessment tools, enabling frontline healthcare providers to detect neurocognitive disorders early and accurately.
Beyond dementia research, I am actively involved in women’s mental health, stress management, neuroplasticity, and memory enhancement. I advocate for translating neuroscience into practical public health solutions through capacity building, training programs, and evidence-based interventions.
