About
I am working as Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand India. Dr. Sunil Kumar received Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi India in 2012. My general field of research is Fractional calculus and its applications to real world problems. Within this general field, my focus has changed over the years to cover several subfields, such as nonlinear dynamics, Chaos theory, Wavelet methods, integral transforms and approximate, analytical and numerical solution of nonlinear problems arising in mechanics/fluid dynamics by using analytical, numerical and wavelet methods. I have more than 8 years’ teaching as well as research experience. I am principal investigator of two academic research projects under NBHM (National Board for Higher Mathematics) and SERB schemes funded by Government of India and serving as Associate Editor, Guest Editor and editorial board members in several international journals including Open Physics, SpringerPlus, Maejo Journal of Science and Technology and Engineering, Technology & Applied Science Research which is indexed by SCIE. He has awarded RGNF (Rajeev Gandhi National Fellowship) fellowship.
