About
Sayan's research focuses on glycobiology, glycoproteomics, extracellular vesicles, and glycan-mediated cell signaling. I develop chemical, proteomic, and cell biology tools to investigate the roles of cell surface glycans and glycosylation pathways in intercellular communication, cancer biology, and biomarker discovery.
During my Ph.D. at the University of Florida, Sayan developed innovative platforms for glycan labeling, glycolipid-protein interaction studies, and extracellular vesicle glycoengineering. Sayan's current work combines chemical proteomics, mass spectrometry, and glycoproteomics to study glycosyltransferase signaling pathways and to identify tissue-specific glycan biomarkers.
My broader research interests include glycan-based therapeutics, extracellular vesicle engineering, biomarker discovery, and translational glycobiology.
