Dr. Sohel Rana is currently a Lecturer in Technical Textiles at the University of Huddersfield, UK. Before joining the University of Huddersfield, he worked as the scientific coordinator at the Fibrous Materials Research Group (Fibrenamics), University of Minho, Portugal. He obtained PhD in Fiber Science and Technology from IIT Delhi, India. His current research areas are advanced and smart textiles and composite materials and nanotechnology. He has authored one book, edited 4 books and contributed in 14 book chapters, 4 keynote and invited papers, and over 90 publications in international journals and conferences
