About

Dr. Ashok Kumar Yadav, is working as UGC Assistant Professor at University Insstitute of pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh. He obtained his B. Sc. (1997) and M. Sc. (Chemistry, 1999) from Lucknow University. In 2002, he started his Ph. D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry with Prof. H. Ila at the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. Registration for Ph. D. Degree was in UPTU. After finishing Ph. D., he joined the group of Prof. Manas K. Ghorai at the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India as CSIR RA. In 2010, he moved to the Organic Synthesis Research Laboratory, University of Antwerp, Belgium, where he had worked with Prof. Bert Maes. Further, in 2012, he joined the group of Prof. Christoph Schneider at Institut für Organische Chemie, Universität Leipzig, Germany. In 2014, he has been joined as DST Fast Track Young Scientist at Centre of Biomedical Research (CBMR). He joined as UGC-Assistant professor at UIPS, Panjab University, Chandigarh in April 2018. His research interests lie in the development of new reactions, asymmetric synthesis, enzyme catalysed reactions, development of API, transition metal catalyzed reactions, new synthetic strategies for heterocycles and biologically active molecules and to find out their applications in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery.
