About
Dr. Pankaj K. Gupta is a Ramanujan fellow, upholding one of the honoured scientific positions at the Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T.) Delhi, India. As a Ramanujan fellow, he has undertaken an exceptional project "Engineered Microbiome (E-microBiome)", a unique combination of microbiology, hydrogeology, and chemical sciences for restoration of polluted sites, funded by the SERB, Govt. of India. He is also an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Waterloo, Canada.
Dr. Gupta holds his in-depth experience of incorporating novel technologies (viz. geophysical investigations, groundwater modelling, aquifer mapping and water quality assessment etc.) to map aquifers of 30+ Sites in India. He also teaches and guides master and Ph. D students with diversified knowledge.
Dr Gupta has also worked as a field officer at the Center for Development Communication, Jaipur and Salasar Temple (Churu Rajasthan) to improve water and wastewater management practices in the villages which was done through rainwater harvesting and reuse of wastewater for irrigation purpose, solid waste collection, transportation and sanitary disposal, recycling of organic waste to produce energy(biogas) and generate Income for the local population.
