I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biosciences and Technology, Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune, India. I am at an early-career stage, enthusiastically aiming to establish myself as an independent, basic and translational researcher in cancer and healthcare field. In addition, I have 9+ years of experience as an educator/academician.
My areas of interest include: basic and translational research, breast cancer, functional genomics, steroid hormones and receptors, cancer cell biology, noncoding RNAs in cancer, cancer cell migration-invasion-metastasis, gut and oral microbiome.
I serve as an Editorial Board Member for Cancer Reports (Wiley) and Clinical Breast Cancer (Elsevier), Academic Editor for PLOS ONE, and Community Reviewer for Frontiers in Oncology. I serve as a Science Mentor / Review Editor for Frontiers for Young Minds. I have served as an Early Career Reviewer (ECR) for Journal of Biological Chemistry (ASBMB) (2023-25). I have served as Guest Editor for two special issues of Cancer Reports and one research article of Frontiers in Oncology. Additionally, I am a regular peer-reviewer for several international journals.
I have worked as a freelance science editor in the Cancer Research/Clinical Oncology domain at Cactus Communications Pvt Ltd., India (2019 to 2022).
