About

Dr. Ashutosh K Giri received his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from College of Technology, G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar Uttarakhand, India, in 2002, M.E in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power System from the L.D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India in 2005 and PhD from the department of Electrical Engineering, Sardar Vallabh National Institute of Technology, Surat, India in 2020. In June 2005, he joined Department of Electrical Engineering, PIET Limda (now deemed university) Vadodara as a Lecturer. In May 2011, he joined Department of Electrical Engineering, Government Engineering College, Bharuch, as an Assistant Professor. He has authored and co-authored more than 40 research papers in reputed journals such as IEEE TRANSACTIONS, IET Journal, Wiley, Tailor Francis, Springer etc. He has also co-authored one book chapter which is published in Springer Publication, and edited two books for each of CRC Press, Florida and Springer Nature Singapore. He is working on three sponsored research project costing around 28 lacs INR. One sponsored research grant of Rs. 25 Lacs from the director of technical education, Gujarat state under STEM Scheme is in foreign university collaboration (Centre of CROM, Aalborg University, Denmark). Currently, he is supervising 3 PhD students. He has coordinated 5 STTP including recently concluded ATAL FDP at GEC Bharuch. He has delivered more than 25 national and international level expert talk at various reputed universities across India. He had received Research Opportunity Week (ROW) scholarship and visited Technical University of Munich Germany in March-April 2019. He has also served as a Technical Programme Committee member in Conferences organised at Scientific Federation of Dallas, USA and Kenitra, Morocco. He has served as a track chair for IEEE IAS/IES/PELS IPRECON 2021 at Kerala. He also chaired Technical Session in IEEE sponsored international conference at IIITDM Kancheepuram, Chennai. He had organised Special Session in most reputed IEEE-ECCE 2020 Conference at Detroit, Michigan, USA. He has also organized special session in ECCE-ASIA 2021 at Singapore. He is also serving as a potential reviewer in various reputed journal such as IEEE TRANSACTIONS OF POWER ELECTRONICS, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS, IET, Wiley etc. He was nominated best researcher of the year 2019 at electrical department, SVNIT, Surat in 2019.
He is also serving as an honorary advisor (Technical Services) in GMDT Marine and Industrial Engineering Pvt. Ltd, Ahmedabad, India. He is also serving as an honorary advisor (Technical Services) in CUBATICS INDUSTRIES Pvt. Ltd, Surat. India. He is life member of Indian Society of Technical Education. Recently, he was included in Advisory Board as a member in Society of Power Engineers, Vadodara Chapter.
