About

Dr. Gaurav Malviya is a researcher in the field of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. With a PhD and postdoctoral training from the University of Groningen in The Netherlands, in collaboration with Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, he has contributed >40 research articles (20 as first author) and five book chapters to prominent peer-reviewed scientific journals. He serves on the editorial boards of several peer- reviewed scientific journals and is an active member of various international societies, including Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI), European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM), and European Society of Molecular Imaging (ESMI). Dr. Malviya served as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow and established a state-of-the-art preclinical PET/MRI imaging facility and radionuclide research at the CRUK Scotland Institute.
Currently, Dr. Malviya is the Lead at the Oxford Centre for Advanced Preclinical Imaging (OCAPI) at the University of Oxford (UK), where he oversees advanced imaging modalities, including PET, SPECT, CT, MRI, IVIS, and ultrasound. His research focuses on the development of novel PET/SPECT imaging tracers, particularly in studying the tumour microenvironment in advanced cancer murine models. Through this work, he aims to advance translational oncology research, bridging laboratory findings with clinical applications.
