About
Professor Rajesh Khanna is a renowned scholar and innovator in Chemical Engineering. An alumnus of Colvin Taluqdar's College, Lucknow, he completed his undergraduate studies at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. He further pursued postdoctoral research at the Institut de Chimie des Surfaces et Interfaces - CNRS in Mulhouse, France, and served as an Honorary Visiting Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales, Sydney.
Over the course of his career, Professor Khanna has held several important academic and administrative roles, including Dean of Students, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty Advisor to the Student Society, and Faculty In-Charge for Sports. As Organizing Vice-Chairman of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), he played a pivotal role in shaping admissions to India's premier engineering institutes.
A passionate educator, he has mentored generations of students and led curricular innovation through the design of novel courses on complex fluids, fine chemicals, and technology. From 2021 to 2023, he served as President of NIIT University, Neemrana, Rajasthan, where his leadership helped shape institutional growth and direction.
