About

Dr. Vivek Dhar Dwivedi is a Principal Scientist and Group Leader at the Bioinformatics Research Division, Quanta Calculus, Greater Noida, India. He is also currently serving as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physiology, Saveetha Medical College and Hospital, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Dr. Dwivedi is an active researcher specializing in bioinformatics, computational biology, viral informatics, and computer-aided drug discovery. His research focuses on developing advanced bioinformatics tools and computational approaches for infectious disease research, therapeutic target identification, and rational drug discovery.

He serves as an active member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the World Society for Virology and is associated with the editorial and peer-review activities of several international scientific journals, including Scientific Reports, BMC Infectious Diseases, Advances in Virology, Discover Viruses, and Current Indian Science.

Prior to his current appointments, Dr. Dwivedi worked at the Centre for Bioinformatics, Computational and Systems Biology, Pathfinder Research and Training Foundation, Greater Noida; ICMR–National JALMA Institute for Leprosy and Other Mycobacterial Diseases, Agra; Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun; and Uttaranchal College of Science & Technology, Dehradun, India.

His contributions to research have been recognized through several prestigious honors, including the Best Researcher Award (2021) for outstanding contributions to innovative research, the Young Scientist Award at the 9th Academic Brilliance Awards (2021) by Education Expo TV, and the Highest Publication Award (2014) from the Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, Uttaranchal College of Science & Technology.

Dr. Dwivedi has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed research and review articles published by leading international publishers, including Springer Nature, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, and Oxford University Press. He has also contributed 33 single-gene and 2 whole bacterial genome submissions to the GenBank database maintained by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), reflecting his significant contributions to genomic and bioinformatics research.
