About

Dr. Supriya Shidhaye, Principal of Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy (VESCOP) since 6th July 2009, have completed my doctorate degree from Bombay College of Pharmacy in 1994. The enriching experience acquired through industry and academic positions in various colleges have added valuable insights in my personal and professional development (Best teacher award 2017- University of Mumbai).
During my professional journey of 31 years, I have been involved in significant roles at University of Mumbai, SPPU and various pharmacy colleges governing bodies. The research conducted under my supervision attracted a sum of about Rs.2crores from various agencies such as BIRAC, DBT, SERB-DST, AICTE and industrial collaborations with Janssen Pharmaceutical (Belgium) and Isha Therapeutics (USA), amongst many. Research outcomes resulted in 5 patents and publishing of 64 publications(national and international).
Under my leadership, VESCOP achieved 1st & 3rd rank in 2018 and 2021 respectively at Pan-India level for the Best Industry Linked Pharmacy Institute(ACITE- CII survey), recognized as SIRO by DSIR, received overall championship trophy at 17th Avishkar as an outcome of research at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate programs at VESCOP (Autonomous, NAAC A+ 3.46 CGPA) & 3rd rank for Best Education Quality Enhancement Team.
