About
Sujit Ghorai received his PhD in Organic Chemistry (Total Synthesis of Natural Products) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India under the supervision of Professor D. Mal in the year 2001. Then, he moved to Wayne State University, Michigan, USA for his postdoctoral research (2001-2003) with Professor A. Dutta. He also worked as JSPS post-doctoral fellow (2006-2008) at Kyoto University, Japan with Professor M. Nakamura and there he worked in the area of iron catalyzed cross coupling reactions. Currently he is a principal team leader at Process Research Department in Syngenta Research and Technology Centre, Goa, India. Before he join his current position in 2011, he worked inTCG Life Sciences, Chemgen Pharma International and Sai Life Sciences as Principal Scientist. So far, he has published more than 25 research articles and patents. His current interest of research includes process research, total synthesis of natural products, development of novel methodologies, and development of novel agrochemicals in crop protection research.
