About
Umesh Kumar Sahu was born in Bhilai, a town in Durg district, Chhattisgarh, India in 1986. He completed his secondary and higher secondary from Sharda Higher Secondary School, Vaishali Nagar, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India in 2001 and 2003 respectively. After higher secondary, he started his engineering career and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Rungta College of Engineering and Technology, Bhilai under Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University Raipur, India, in the year 2007. After engineering, he took the admission for M.Tech. program in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg under Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Newai, Chhattisgarh, India, and obtained the degree in 2013. He is completed his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela.
He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechatronics, in Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal (A constituent unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Manipal). His research interests include computer vision, image processing, vision-based control of networked flexible robots.
