About
I am an innovator/researcher. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering at National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India. Previously, I served as Assistant Professor in the department of Medical Devices at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research-Ahmadabad for period of 1.5 years. Before that I was a National Post Doctoral Fellow in Material Engineering, IISc Bangalore under Dr. Kaushik Chatterjee. I have a completed my doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay and Monash University, Australia. I have done my undergraduate and Post-graduate degree from BIT Mesra and IIT Kanpur, respectively. I have R & D experience of over 10 years in an area of bio-inspired design, Lab-on-chip devices, polymeric membranes, and micro/nanofabrication. During this span of time, I was responsible for focusing on engineering, biomechanical principles, biology to the design, evaluation, development of materials, processes, devices and soft-wares for life-science and chemical applications. In addition, my experience and endeavor in different entrepreneurial pursuits for last 5 years have endowed me with skills like project management and product management
