About
Dr. Biplab paul got his Ph. D. in 2011 from Materials Science Center, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, where he initiated a new line of research in the area of thermoelectric. He focused on how to independently or quasi-independently tailor electronic and phononic properties of a material system for higher thermoelectric power generation efficiency.
An exceptional contribution from his Ph. D. studies was to conceive, develop and implement novel designs for characterization of thermoelectric properties. In 2011 Dr. Paul joined Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain. There he led another line of research in the area of thermal rectification for practical realization of thermal diode.
Presently, Dr. Paul is working in Linköping University, Sweden since 2012. His extensive work has initiated a new line of research in the area of flexible thermoelectric for power generation from human body heat for feeding the power to wearable electronics and biomedical devices.
