About

My research focuses on the interactions among marine biota, climate changes and ocean carbon cycle at different time scales by studying the coccolithophores, calcifying marine phytoplankton. My multidisciplinary approach combines the study of the fossil record with experiments on monospecific lab cultures, together with biogeochemical analyses. I aim to deepen our understanding of the current climate change and to implement/innovate the strategies towards the CO2atm decrease and sequestration.
