About

Dr. Sanmoy Mallick is the Head of the Department of Management (MBA Programme & Ph.D. in Management) at the University of North Bengal. He holds a Ph.D., an MBA with a specialization in Marketing and Finance, a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, and a Certification in Leadership Management from IIM.
With over 16 years of experience, Dr. Mallick has developed expertise in competitive analysis, business process management, research methods, and entrepreneurship development. He has worked with various multinational brands, including Big4 firms, specializing in management consulting, project management, and business development.
His research spans Business Analytics, Public Policy, Tourism Economy, and Entrepreneurship, with various completed research projects, publications, and consulting assignments. He has presented research papers at various international and national conferences and serves as a reviewer for reputed research journals. As a Ph.D. supervisor in Business Management, he actively guides research scholars in their academic pursuits.
Dr.Mallick has received several prestigious awards, including the Wipro Earthian Award for his research, recognized among the top 10 globally in sustainable development, and the AICTE Chatra Viswakarma Award for his contributions to academia and research.
As a resource person, he has delivered special lectures on Marketing Management, Leadership, Indian Knowledge System(IKS), Change Management, Artificial Intelligence in Data Analytics, Creativity, NEP-Skill Development and Innovation at esteemed Universities, National & International Conferences across India. He has also been invited to deliver lectures at AICTE-ATAL Faculty Development Programs, UGC MMTTCs, National Small Industries Corporation Ltd., the Department of MSME, and NHPC (Govt. of India) etc.
Beyond his academic and research commitments, Dr. Mallick actively organizes national and international conferences, workshops, symposiums, career counseling sessions, and industry-institute linkage programs. He also holds key administrative roles, serving as the Chairman of the Ph.D. Board of Studies, the Postgraduate Board of Studies, the Under graduate Board of Studies of Management, Deputy Coordinator of the NAAC Committee and Student Feedback Committee, Convener of the University Training & Placement Cell, Convener of the University Start-Up Incubation Centre, and a Member of the Institution’s Innovation Council.
