About
I am a retired Professor, having worked for close to 42 years at the Department of Computer Science and Applications at Gandhigram Rural Institute, Tamil Nadu, India. I was teaching Post Graduate students( Physics major and Computer Science Major) and guided 18 scholars to obtain their Ph.D degree. I am still active in doing research in the area of image processing and image compression. My current area of research are in segmenting brain, hippocampus and tumor from Magnetic Resonance Images of human head.
