About

Rajesh Baby is currently Associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at St.
Joseph’s College of Engineering and Technology, Palai, Kerala. Rajesh took his B.Tech in Mechanical
Engineering from M. A. College of Engineering, Kerala. He began his career as Assistant Engineer with
M/s Bhagheeratha Engineering Limited. He joined SJCET in the year 2004 after doing M. Tech in
Industrial Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering at T. K. M. College of Engineering and Technology,
Kollam, Kerala. He then pursued his doctoral studies at IIT Madras in Heat Transfer, specifically
“Thermal management of electronic equipment using Phase Change Material based heat sinks” under
the guidance of Prof. C. Balaji. He has 15years of teaching experience. He has 15 papers published in
International Journals and 4 in National Journals. Rajesh Baby also presented 25 papers in International
Conferences and 11 papers in National Conferences. Dr. Rajesh’s research area includes Cooling of
electronic equipment using phase change materials, Design and optimization of thermal systems, Heat
pipes & Fuel cells.
