Dr Aarif Latif Shaikh is borne in Dhule, Maharashtra, India on 21st December 1976. He graduated his B.Sc. chemistry in 1999 from North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon and M.Sc. Chemistry in 2001 from Department of Chemistry, University of Pune. At present, he is Vice President and Business Development, Head of Discovery Services, Infinia Sciences Pvt, Pune.
He has 20+ years of experience in Drug discovery (NCE), CRO FTEs and FFS Projects, and CDMO (2012-2024), and worked at Director level in Aragen Life Sciences, Sai Life Sciences, and Laxai Life Sciences (~70-100 FTEs Team), worked with 90 clients from US/UK. Team Motivation, Team building, Team mentoring, Team work, Excellent client management and coordinated well with Company management. He had completed 03 postdoctoral studies from Lubbock, Texas Tech University, US 2007-2008, NSF Grant, University of Knoxville, Tennessee, US, 2009-2012, NIH Grant, University of Texas Pan American, US 2008-2009, NIH Grant. He had achieved his Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from NCL Pune, 2003-2007. Also appointed as Scientific Guest through DAAD and DFG Fellowship Freie University of Berlin Germany, 2002-2003. He is author of 46 papers, 03 Patents, 04 review articles, and 02 book chapters. He is part of COVID Moonshot: Open science discovery of potent noncovalent SARS-CoV-2 main protease inhibitors and published Science article in 2023.
