About
I have over 15 years research experience in the areas of microbiology and immunology. Specifically, my research is focused on the development of novel vaccines for bacterial and viral pathogens. By utilizing human Fc gamma receptor targeting approach I have demonstrated enhancement of efficacy of subunit vaccines against pulmonary infections including Streptococcus pneumoniae and Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis Virus. Moreover, my research provided knowledge to enhance the efficacy of Francisella tularesnsis vaccines. Utilizing whole cell and inactivated vaccine platforms I have demonstrated that dendritic cell maturation factors can significantly enhance the efficacy of F tularensis live vaccine strain. My current research interests include vaccine development, vaccine adjuvants and resident memory T cells.
