About
Dr. Sivakumar S is a mechanical engineer, researcher, and academic from Arasudaiyampattu village, Thiruvannamalai district, Tamil Nadu, born on 3rd January 1990. He earned his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (2011), M.E. in CAD/CAM (2015), and Ph.D. in Vibration Engineering (2021), all under Anna University, with his doctoral thesis focused on quasi-zero stiffness vibration isolators using composite materials.
He began his teaching career in 2011 and has held academic positions at Bharath Institute of Science & Technology and Arunai College/Engineering College, Thiruvannamalai. After a postdoctoral research stint (2024–2026) at RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru, working on ultrasonic scalar tips, laser texturing, and surface coatings under a BIRAC-funded project, he presently works at Arunai Engineering College, Thiruvannamalai, as an Associate Professor.
Over his career, Dr. Sivakumar has authored 24 international journal publications (Scopus/SCIE), holds 3 published Indian patents, has co-authored 2 textbooks, and has presented at 6 international and 2 national conferences. His research centers on vibration isolation, composite materials, laser surface modification, and additive manufacturing. He is a recognized Ph.D. research supervisor under Anna University and has received multiple institutional awards for academic and research excellence.
