SABYASACHI BANERJEE (b. 22 November 1992) is an Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Gupta College of Technological Sciences, Asansol in Paschim Barddhaman District, West Bengal. He did his Master of Pharmacy in Quality Assurance and Pharma Regulatory Affairs from Gupta College of Technological Sciences, Asansol, West Bengal and pursuing Ph.D (Pharmaceutical Technology) with plant based phytochemicals (isolation, characterization, preparing semi-synthetic derivatives, and so on) from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (Formerly known as, West Bengal University of Technology), Haringhata. He served as Assistant Professor for more than 7 years in Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. Sabyasachi Banerjee also played a role as an editor in an edited book namely “Medicinal Spices and Herbs from India, 2-volume set (Volume 1: Introduction, Therapeutic Properties, and Commercial Products / Volume 2: Beneficial Health Effects of 20 Exotic Spices)”, which is being published by Apple Academic Press (AAP) along with CRC Press (Taylor & Francis Group). He has already published more than 34 research papers/articles, in internationally reputed journals like Coordination Chemistry Reviews (Elsevier, IF-20.6), Pharmacology and Therapeutics (Elsevier, IF-13.5), Pharmacological Research (Elsevier, IF-9.3), Cells (MDPI, IF-6), Cancers (MDPI, IF-5.2), Marine Drugs (MDPI, IF-5.4), Life Sciences (MDPI, IF-3.253), Phytotherapy Research (Wiley, IF-7.2), Mini Reviews in Medicinal Chemistry (Bentham, IF-3.8), Current Drug Targets (Bentham, IF-3.2), Frontiers in Oncology (Frontiers, IF-4.7), Anti-Cancer Agents in Medicinal Chemistry (Bentham, IF-2.8), Russian Journal of General Chemistry (Springer, IF-0.9), Physiologia (MDPI), etc. and currently around 5 are under process; as well as 13 book chapters published by Elsevier, CRC Press, Wiley & Sons, Springer Nature, Apple Academic Press, etc. along with 18 more accepted chapters. Apart from that he has presented in many National as well as International Conferences. He is a permanent reviewer of the journal “Biosciences Biotechnology Research Asia”, as well as he is also acted as reviewer in journals like Frontiers in Pharmacology (Frontiers, IF-5.6), Phytomedicine (Elsevier, IF-7.9), Medicinal Chemistry Research (Springer, IF-2.6), Phytotherapy Research (Wiley & Sons, Inc., IF: 7.2), European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry (Springer, IF: 6.7), European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry Reports (Springer), etc. He has been a fellow life member of Scholars Academic and Scientific Society since 2021. He is also a fellow life member of Indian Chemical Society since August, 2023.
