About

Dr. Yash Verma obtained his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, under the supervision of Dr. R.S. Anand, Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department, on July 27, 2024. His major research interests include Digital Signal and Image Processing, Sign Language Generation Techniques, Biomedical Instrumentation, and Medical Robotics. Dr. Verma has authored two papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented two papers at conferences. He has attended six short-term courses organized by the Electronics and ICT Academy at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, as well as three additional short-term courses and workshops at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Furthermore, he participated in three workshops associated with Cognizance 2023 at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. From July 2018 to July 2023, Dr. Verma served as a Teaching Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, where he taught various subjects, including Digital Electronics Circuits, Analog Electronics, Design of Electronic Circuits, Microprocessors and Peripheral Devices, Applied Instrumentation, Intelligent Sensors and Instrumentation, and Medical Imaging, to undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. students. He also conducted laboratories in Digital Electronics, Analog Electronics, Instrumentation and Signal Processing, Design of Electronic Circuits, and Microprocessor Laboratory.
A creative and energetic individual, Dr. Verma is committed to establishing clear learning objectives that motivate and inspire students to excel academically. He creates engaging educational materials that foster positive learning experiences and demonstrates a resourceful and innovative approach to teaching. As a passionate educator, he is dedicated to providing students with enriching educational experiences and quickly builds productive relationships through excellent communication and instruction. Dr. Verma adapts his teaching styles and methods to maximize student potential and is focused on supporting faculty with various classroom needs. He is successful at maintaining organized supplies, planning activities, and leading field trips, making him an excellent tutor, record keeper, and multitasker.
