About

Dr. Dushyant Singh is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the National Institute of Technology Jalandhar (Punjab)-India. He received his Ph.D. degree in the Department of Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2014 and he was Research Scientist in joint industrial research work with the BHEL industry at IIT Delhi in the period 2014-2015. He had been a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Manipur from 2015 - 2023.

Dr. Singh works in a general area of fluid flow and heat transfer with a focus on understanding the flow physics and heat transfer characteristics of the complex problem in advanced industry problem, along with experimentally and numerically of interest. He has previously worked with both experimental and numerical investigations for jet impingement heat transfer on a circular cylinder. The outcome of this work is definitely helpful in the direction of heat transfer enhancement or several engineering applications such as cooling of turbine components, and surface cooling of pipes carrying hot air in the aircraft cooling system food processing industry.

His current research is collaborative and directly practical engineering applications in industries. Other future works of research interest agenda focus on the question of how to leverage the advance in our understanding the flow physics and heat transfer enhancement.
