About
Dr. Rajesh Govindan received his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee in 2021. He received his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur (in 2007) and M.Tech. in Thermal Engineering from Rajasthan Technical University, Kota (in 2014).
He started his career as Assistant Engineer with Simplex Infrastructures Ltd at Jamnagar Export Refinery Project. His passion for teaching led him to switch to academia early in his career. He has a total work experience of 6.5 years, including 5.5 years in academia. Presently he is associated with Chandigarh University, Mohali, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering.
In his Ph.D. research, he studied the human biodynamic responses under the influence of low-frequency vibration encountered during dynamic phases of spaceflight. His current focus is to develop a musculoskeletal model to examine vibration effects on active humans.
His research interests include human vibration, occupational health and safety, and biomechanics.
