About
Dr. Kunal Kumar Singh is a geostrategic analysts and working as a Senior Geologist at Geological Survey of India, Bandlaguda, Nagole, Hyderabad-500068, Telangana, India. Dr. Singh has completed his Ph.D. (2009-14) in Geotechnical Engineering, on the topic entitled “Investigation on Permeability of Fractured, Steep and Deep Rock Slopes with High Groundwater Pressures” under the joint supervision of Prof. D.N. Singh (IITB) and Prof. Ranjith PG (Monash University), from IITB-Monash Research Academy – a joint Indo-Australian research partnership programme between Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, IIT Bombay, India and Monash University, Australia. He did his M.Sc in Geology in 2004 from Hansraj College, University of Delhi. After working for two years as a Cartographic Editor (2004-06) in Dorling Kindersley (India) Ltd., at Delhi, he then went on to do M.Tech (2006-08) in Engineering Geology from Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India. After completing his M.Tech, Dr Singh has also worked as a Scientist SB at Punjab Remote Sensing Center, Ludhiana, PAU Campus, Punjab, India.
His research interests cover geological mapping, field and laboratory investigations, high pressure–temperature testing for modeling fluid flow through rockmass, micro- and macro-seismic investigations, rock mechanics, hydrogeology, remote sensing and GIS, etc. He has published several research papers in national and International Journals.
