Mr. Suresh Kumar Samarla is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Sagi Rama Krishnam Raju (SRKR) Engineering College, Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh, India, and a Research Scholar at Puducherry Technological University, Puducherry.
His academic and research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Medical Image Analysis, Explainable AI, reliable healthcare AI, and emerging quantum–classical machine learning approaches.
His current research focuses strongly on developing reproducible and clinically relevant AI methodologies, with particular emphasis on medical imaging and interdisciplinary healthcare applications. He actively collaborates with medical experts to strengthen the clinical relevance and validation of AI-based research.
In addition to research publications, he contributes to scholarly peer-review activities for international journals and academic publishers, including Scientific Reports, Artificial Intelligence Review, Urban, Planning and Transport Research, IGI Global, AITI, and PETI.
He is also committed to research-oriented teaching and student mentoring. He encourages students to work on real-world problems, participate in hackathons, develop innovative projects, and convert promising student work into conference publications and broader research outcomes. His academic goal is to integrate teaching, research, clinical collaboration, and student innovation to develop practical and socially relevant intelligent systems.
He is actively involved in curriculum development, innovative teaching practices, research mentoring, and interdisciplinary technology projects.
