About

After graduating from Delhi University, India with a BSc (Zoology) and The University of Sheffield, UK with an MSc (Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine), I was a research technician in Dr Alison Gartland's lab at the Mellanby Centre for Bone Research (Sheffield, UK) for 2 years. Under her mentorship, I completed my PhD detailing the involvement of purinergic signalling in osteoclastogenesis. I subsequently moved back to my home country as a research associate at CSIR- IGIB (Delhi) investigating the genetic determinants in chronic pancreatitis- but it is in Denmark (Bone Lab, Rigshospitalet) that I have been able to both, continue in the purine field and combine it with my interest in bone health and metastasis.
