About
Dr. Sanjay Kumar Gupta is a distinguished academician and researcher currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacology at the Rungta College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (RCPSR) in Bhilai. With over 15 years of teaching and research experience, he also holds the position of Dean of Research and Development (R&D) at RCPSR and Deputy Dean at Rungta International Skills University.
Dr. Gupta’s academic foundation is rooted in excellence. He earned his B. Pharm. from RGPV, Bhopal, and his M. Pharm. from the University of Pune after qualifying for the GATE in 2006. He was awarded a Ph.D. from Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya in 2017, where his research on antihypertensive mechanisms was supported by the prestigious UGC-BSR Fellowship.
A prolific innovator, Dr. Gupta has published 34 research and review articles, including high-impact work in Ageing Research Reviews. He has authored two textbooks and nine book chapters with international publishers like CRC Press and Springer. His commitment to advancement is further evidenced by 15 patents (published or filed), focusing on AI-driven medication safety and advanced wound healing.
As a mentor, he has guided 42 PG projects and 6 MD scholars, and currently supervises 8 Ph.D. students. Dr. Gupta remains a vital contributor to the scientific community as a reviewer for numerous international journals and a frequent invited resource person at global conferences.
