About
K. Navamani's Research Significances (new development/model):
i) "ENTROPY-RULED METHOD" and "DENSITY OF STATES PROPORTION (DOSP)" for quantum-classical and degenerate transport systems/devices.
(Key outcomes: Modified Einstein's D/μ ratio & Navamani-Shockley diode equation)
ii) Charge Disorder Variance Principle [Emerging: "Electron-Hole Relative Dynamics"]
iii) Nonequilibrium Fluctuation Theorem-Based Entropy Production Rule.
iv) Imperfect Fermi-Dirac (IFD) Distribution Function for Correlated Electron Systems, and "Quantum-Classical Conjecture"
His research areas are quantum/semiclassical theory for semiconductors, Polaron hopping in molecular solids, Generalized charge and energy transport (from molecules to materials), thermoelectricity.
Key words: Density functional theory, Molecular dynamics, Monte-Carlo simulations.
Research Highlights/ Scientific Contributions:
Navamani developed/proposed few charge transport methods/theory/model for next level of physics of devices under the quantum level (i.e., electronic structure) engineering, which might leads to a new route of semiconductor technology. Few of the important conceptual developments are as follows,
1) Entropy-Ruled Charge Transport Method [Variable(s): Charge density, Diffusion coefficient, Energy flux, DOS]
2) Density of States (DOS) Proportion and Charge Disorder Variance Principle on Electron-Hole Symmetry-to-Asymmetry Transport Transition
3) Modified Versions of Einstein and Boltzmann Relations for Mobility (via entropy-ruled method) - A Unified Approach for Band & Hopping Transport
4) Navamani-Shockley Diode Equation (J-V) for Molecular Quantum Devices
5) Multiscale Modeling of Charge Transport (on the basis of 3-Sets of Analytical Procedures) and Continuum Time-Delayed Hopping Model for Organic Semiconductors
