About
As a highly trained Biochemist, I have dedicated my career to pushing the boundaries of scientific discovery. After earning my PhD in Chemistry, I was awarded consecutive NIH and NSF postdoctoral fellowships at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where I made significant contributions to marine natural product biosynthesis, enzymatic halogenation, and the design of covalent inhibitors of bacterial enzymes.
Now, as a Scientist at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, I specialize in the intersection of organic synthesis, biocatalysis, enzymology, and drug discovery. My research focuses on Enzyme-activated cancer prodrug discovery and AI-assisted directed evolution, with the goal of developing innovative solutions that can positively impact the lives of those affected by cancer.
I am passionate about leveraging my extensive expertise in biochemistry, enzymology, and natural product synthesis to advance drug discovery. I am particularly skilled in the construction and engineering of biosynthetic pathways using cutting-edge approaches such as Ribosomally Synthesized and Post-Translationally Modified Peptides (RiPPs), brominase, and Sonogashira coupling.
If you are a recruiter seeking highly experienced, skilled scientists or a fellow scientist, researcher, or industry professional interested in collaborating on groundbreaking projects at the forefront of biochemistry and drug discovery, I welcome the opportunity to connect. Let's explore how we can work together to unlock new possibilities and make a meaningful impact on the world.
