About
I am currently working an Associate Professor, Dept of Chemistry, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221005, India. I obtained his doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in the field of atmospheric science/chemistry from the Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad in 2010 and subsequently I died a post-doctoral work at the University of Tokyo, Japan during July 2011 to January 2013 in the field of atmospheric physics and chemistry. My research interest includes chemical characterization, source apportionment and optical properties of atmospheric aerosols, especially carbonaceous aerosols. I have adopted a multidisciplinary approach (including aerosol sampling techniques and analytical chemistry, optical properties and statistical analysis) and have gained sufficient skill, knowledge and experience in the field of atmospheric science. So far, I have published Twenty four (24) research papers in peer-reviewed and highly reputed international journals (Cumulative Impact Factor (IF) ~100; 5 papers with IF>5 and 19 papers with 2<IF<5). I am a recipient of many travel support from national and International organizations to attend various conference, some of the travel funding support include 39th COSPAR Scientific Assembly 2012 at Mysore, international IGAC/CACGP- 2010, EAC-2009. I have also served as reviewer for various international journals like AE, ACP, JGR, AR, JAS, AAQR, AMT, APR, JGE.
