Dr. Parul Kumar is a passionate researcher, trainer, and educator with over 14 years of academic and professional experience. She currently serves as an Deputy Director (Admissions & Examinations) & Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Faculty of Management at South Asian University (SAU), New Delhi.
She has completed a Post Doctoral Programme from Universiti Malaysia Perlis in the area of Investor Psychology and a Ph.D. in Commerce from IGNOU. Prior to joining SAU, Dr. Kumar was associated with Delhi Skill & Entrepreneurship University (Government of NCT of Delhi), handling various portfolios ranging from academic to examinations.
Over the years, she has conducted numerous corporate training programs, FDPs, and workshops on statistical and analytical tools such as SPSS, Smart PLS, AMOS, EViews, and Advanced Excel, and delivered sessions on Regression Analysis, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), Research Methodology, Research Paper Writing, and Data Analytics at premier institutions. She is also a certified SmartPLS trainer and Mendeley Advisor, with additional certifications in Data Analytics, Predictive Modelling, Financial Modelling, Regression Analysis, R Programming, and Tableau from leading global institutions including Wharton, Johns Hopkins, Rice University, IIT Roorkee, and IIM Bangalore.
Dr. Kumar has authored and co-authored several research papers published in SCIE, SSCI, Scopus, and ABDC indexed journals. Her research interests span across Behavioural Finance, Financial Markets, Investor Psychology, Foreign Portfolio Investors, Online Education & MOOCs, Employee Psychology, and Social Sciences.
Recently she has successfully organized the ICSSR sponsored 2 weeks Capacity Building Program on Research Methodology. Also, presently she is working on ICSSR sponsored research project “Women’s Financial Empowerment through FinTech” with a funding of 15 lakhs. She has also completed the sponsored research project on women’s skilling funded by the National Commission for Women (NCW) with a funding of 18 lakhs. She has also been involved in corporate consultancy as a Management & Finance Expert with KPMG for the establishment of Assam Skill University, Guwahati.
